What Is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product)?
Definition
An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest version of a product that real users can use and pay for, built to test whether an idea solves a real problem before investing in the full product.
What an MVP includes
An MVP includes only the features needed to deliver the core value to early users, plus the basics that make it usable: sign-up, a simple interface, and a way to measure what users do.
What an MVP is not
An MVP is not a mock-up, a landing page or a buggy prototype. It is a working product, small in scope but solid enough that people come back to it.
Example
A food-delivery MVP might let customers order from five local restaurants by card, with no ratings, loyalty points or live tracking. If people order again, the idea is worth expanding.
